Von Roll 76593 Fusa-Flex® Tape

Fusa-Flex is a B-stage epoxy coated polyester glass tape that fuses during cure to provide a tough moisture and chemical seal on AC stator and DC armature coils. Flow of resin during cure, together with shrinkage of the polyester warp threads, ensures a leak-proof seal without external pressure application. Cure occurs in only one hour at 170 °C, permitting rapid "turn around" for repair shops and minimum oven time. Cured Fusa-Flex tape provides low dissipation factor, high dielectric strength and insulation resistance - Insulation for coils can be easily flexed for winding, even pounded and scuffed without breaking the seal. The epoxy resin in the tape flows with heat during the curing process, while the polyester wrap threads shrink, pulling the tape down tightly. This insures a leakproof seal without the need for any external pressure
