The nozzle uses a novel threadless fixing system whereby the nozzle is inserted into the head and is locked into place by twisting through a 1/4 turn. This patented feature allows the desoldering nozzle to be quickly and easily changed. It also improves the thermal transfer from the desoldering head to the desoldering nozzle, providing a faster heat-up time and recovery time. - The new X series nozzle feature a threadless fixture system whereby the nozzle is inserted into the head and locked into place by applying a 1/4 turn. Additionally, because there are no threads in the head that tend to seize, maintenance and running costs are reduced.
