RT-3 tubing is ideally suited for wire strain-relief applications. It provides excellent strain relief and insulation of "weak points", transferring flex stress away from solder and crimp joints and other typically sensitive wire splice and termination points. - RT-3 is especially well suited for semi-automated production equipment requiring tubing with a tightly controlled expanded diameter. Sizes and expansion ratios of RT-3 are available for specific spade/disconnect terminals.
Features
- Tightly controlled expanded diameters
- High abrasion resistance
- Semirigidity that transfers flex stress away from typically weak points such as solder and crimp joints, helping to ensure a reliable connection
- Excellent chemical and solvent resistance
- Outstanding physical and electrical performance
- Free of polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated biphenyl oxides (PBBOs)
- No dripping, flowing or cracking (4 hr at 250 °C) of heat shock
- Low Temperature Flexibility: -55 °C
- Temperature Rating: -55 to 135 °C
Applications
- For Wire Strain-Relief Applications
