3M™ Heat Shrink Cable Sleeve MDT isa flame retardant sleeve offers reliable performance for electrical splices, connections and terminations. The factory applied, heat activated, thermoplastic sealant acts as a barrier against adverse environmental conditions. It is fast shrinking for easy handling and installation while maintaining maximum operating reliability and system protection. It withstands temperatures of 67 to 230 degrees F ( 55 to 110 degrees C). ABS, SAE AS23053/15, Class 2 Certified and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
3M™ MDT medium-duty tubing is designed to provide reliable performance as well as excellent mechanical and environmental protection. These flame-retardant products combine the important advantages of easy handling and installation with maximum operating reliability and system protection.

- MDT comes with a factory-applied sealant
- This sealant is a heat-activated thermoplastic material that remains soft and flexible over long periods under adverse environmental conditions
- During heating the sealant softens, bonds to underlying surfaces and fills small voids that might be present
- When cool, the sealant forms a barrier against water, moisture, dirt and other environmental contaminants
- Non-nutrient fungus resistance
- Non-corrosive chemical effect
- Self-extinguishing
- No dripping, flowing or cracking (4 hr at 225 °C) of heat shock
