CHR 2255 PTFE films provide a conformable release surface and exhibit a remarkably low coefficient of friction and non-stick properties. Has a dielectric strength of 15000V. PTFE films have high temperature resistance and are virtually unaffected by all chemicals. - CHR 2255 is manufactured from modified high-modulus PTFE film coated with high temperature silicone adhesive. Has a tensile strength of 60 lb/Inch. At elevated temperatures, PTFE film still retains excellent tensile strength.
Features
- Most outstanding properties are its high dielectric and tensile strength, which make it an extremely durable insulation tape
- The high temperature properties of the PTFE and silicone adhesive allow to perform in continuous temperatures up to 500 °F
- A high-modulus tape, also exhibits low elongation which enables it to be applied with automatic wrapping equipment
- The other outstanding features of 2255 include chemical inertness as well as low-friction, anti-stick and non-toxic properties, making it the right material for numerous applications
- Temperature rating of -100 to 500 °F
Applications
- For Bundling End Turns, Spot Bundling and Anchoring Breakouts, Aerospace Industry, Protect Wire Harnesses, High Temperature Coil and Capacitor Wrapping, Composite Bonding, Masking and Conveyor Release Linings
