NGM Start Capacitors are designed for single-phase electric motors to provide a short, powerful boost during startup. Common in air conditioners, pumps, garage door openers, and furnaces, they improve starting torque and energy efficiency. Select the appropriate option based on Case Size, Voltage Rating, and Capacitance.
Case Size: Refers to the physical dimensions of the capacitor (length × diameter), which determine its fit in the motor housing. Standard sizes are:
#1 – 1-7/16" × 2-3/4" | #2 – 1-7/16" × 3-3/8" | #4 – 1-13/16" × 3-3/8" | #5 – 1-13/16" × 4-3/8" | #6 – 2-1/16" × 3-3/8" | #7 – 2-1/16" × 4-3/8" | #8 – 2-9/16" × 4-3/8"
Voltage Rating: Indicates the maximum voltage the capacitor can safely handle.
