TFT hybrid insulating wedges is a three-ply composite of 3M TufQUIN hybrid Insulating Paper bonded to both sides of polyester (PET) film for use in high-temperature electrical insulating applications.
3M™ TufQUIN TFT Hybrid wedges is a three-ply composite of 3M™ TufQUIN Hybrid Insulating Paper bonded to both sides of polyester (PET) film for use in high-temperature electrical insulating applications. Qualified for use in electrical insulation systems up to Class 200(N) per UL 1446 and IEC Std. 60085, CSA Component Acceptance at 200 °C. TFT laminates are compatible with commonly used impregnating varnishes and resins, and are easily impregnated, further enhancing thermal conductivity and coil bonding characteristics.

- Flexible, conformable materials with high tensile strength, excellent tear resistance, and low moisture absorption
- The inorganic content in the TufQUIN paper offers high thermal conductivity, long-term voltage endurance, and resistance to partial discharge (corona) that helps TFT laminates withstand damage from voltage spikes, the polyester film reinforcement provides stiffness, high mechanical strength, and resistance to tear
