3M™ CeQUIN™ IFI Inorganic Insulating Paper Laminate is a two-ply composite of CeQUIN Inorganic Insulating Paper I bonded to polyester (PET) film for use in high-temperature electrical insulating applications. Qualified for use in electrical insulation systems up to Class 220® per UL 1446 and IEC Std. 60085. Applications include ground and layer insulation in dry-type transformers, as well as interwinding insulation in strip-wound coils, and wire-wrap for UL Recognized Class 250 °C appliance wires. CeQUIN IF laminates are compatible with commonly used impregnating varnishes and resins, and are easily impregnated, further enhancing thermal conductivity and coil bonding characteristics. - 3M™ CeQUIN IF laminates offer the high-performance characteristics of 3M™ CeQUIN I Inorganic Insulating Paper, including excellent thermal and dielectric stability, high thermal conductivity, long-term voltage endurance, and low moisture absorption, the polyester film reinforcement provides higher mechanical strength and improved cut through resistance and resistance to tear initiation for ease of handling in manufacturing operations.
