3M™ Heat Shrink Cable Sleeve HDT is a s split resistant sleeve that offers reliable performance for electrical splices, connections and terminations. The factory applied, heat activated, thermoplastic sealant acts as a barrier against adverse environmental conditions. It is fast shrinking for easy handling and installation while maintaining maximum operating reliability and system protection. It withstands temperatures of 67 to 230 degrees F ( 55 to 110 degrees C). SAE AS23053/15, Class 1 Certified and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
HDT tubing comes with a factory-applied sealant. This sealant is a heat-activated thermoplastic material that remains soft and flexible over long periods under adverse environmental conditions. During heating the sealant softens, bonds to underlying surfaces and fills small voids that might be present. When cool, the sealant forms a barrier against water, moisture, dirt and other environmental contaminants.
