3M electrical tape 46 is a 7 Mil thick electrical tape with rubber adhesive. This tape is ideal for anchoring lead wires to banding coils and for end-turn taping. This tape is 600V-rated and withstands a temperature of 130 °C. 3M 46 electrical tape is a polyester film/glass filament tape coated with a thermosetting, pressure sensitive rubber adhesive system. The polyester film/glass backing has excellent physical and electrical characteristics. This tape is especially suited for such applications as lead anchoring and banding of coils where high edge tear resistance and low stretch under application tension are needed.
