EIS, LLC Announces Acquisition of Schoen Insulation Services

Atlanta, GA—January 12th, 2022

EIS Legacy, LLC (“EIS”), a leading value-added distributor of material and supply chain solutions, is excited to announce the acquisition of Schoen Insulation Services (“Schoen”). Schoen is a leading manufacturer of nonmetallic machined parts headquartered in Canton, Georgia. This acquisition broadens the manufacturing and converting capabilities of EIS' Fabrication Solutions division, increasing the depth of EIS' product portfolio for the power generation, energy, and electrical markets. Schoen is EIS’ fourth acquisition under the ownership of Audax Private Equity.

Schoen was founded in 1989 and operates a 105,000 sq ft manufacturing facility equipped with lathes, mills, routers, saws and additional machinery. Their material expertise and extensive fabrication capabilities have established Schoen as a premier supplier of non-metallic machined, turned, and cut parts.

“Adding the Schoen team to our current Fabrication Solutions business is a tremendous opportunity for EIS and our customers,” explains EIS CEO, Glenn Pennycook. “We are bringing together the best in the industry for both flexible and rigid insulation materials, creating an engineered solutions portfolio that is unmatched in the market.”

“This partnership generates a variety of opportunities for EIS and Schoen,” adds EIS COO, Louis Bacigalupo. “The opportunity to share operational excellence best practices and capitalize on our strong vendor relationships will help our businesses grow together and continue pushing into growth markets like power generation and alternative energy.”

“The team at EIS is dedicated to growth,” explains Schoen founder, Stephen Schoen, “making it the perfect partner for our company. Their investment into new capabilities will help our talented team to continue to provide the best-in-class service and technical support that our customers have grown to expect and that our markets require.”
