Techspray and Plato Product Families
Techspray dusters blow away dust, microscopic contaminants, lint, metallic oxide deposits and other soils that can cause heat build up or shorts in sensitive electronics.
Freeze Spray rapidly evaporating liquid that super-chills isolated areas. Used as a troubleshooting aid for intermittently faulting capacitors, resistors, semiconductors, and other defective components. It also increases visibility of cold solder joints, cracks in printed circuit boards and oxidized junctions.
Flux Removers
Flux removers (defluxers) remove flux residues left by manufacture, rework, or repair of printed circuit boards. Residues from higher, lead-free temperatures are more baked on and harder to clean. G3® and Ecoline™ flux removers have been proven very effective at removing fluxes baked on at leadfree
temperatures.
Maintenance & Contact Cleaners
Maintenance cleaners clean oil and contaminants off of metal parts, printed circuit boards, barcode instruments, switch boxes, label boxes, and engines. Techspray offers a variety of solvents that allow customers to match the right products with their cleaning needs. Choosing a strong, high quality cleaner saves time and money. Grease and oil flow right off, reducing the time and materials needed to scrub off stubborn soils.
Desoldering Braid
Desoldering braid (wick) is pre-fluxed copper braid that is used to remove solder, which allows components to be replaced and excess solder to be removed. Techspray wick is available in static dissipative bobbins (identified by their blue color) for static sensitive environments. Techspray No-Clean wick is coated with proprietary flux that only leaves as slight clear residue, which does not cause service issues. Cleaning after using Techspray No-Clean wick is strictly optional.

ESD Products
Techspray ESD-safe products can help maintain work areas within the ANSI/ESD-S20.20 standards set by the ESD Association (www.esda.com). In a static-free environment, the work area, tools and personnel form an electronic circuit. Cleaners, lotions, and coatings are an integral part of an ESD control program. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) occurs when the charges of two surfaces with a large electronic potential (difference) equalize instantaneously. The resulting current or spark can cause catastrophic or latent damage to electronic components. ESD programs maintain an equal potential by maintaining continuous contact with ground, avoiding ESD damage.
PCB Rework & Repair Pens

Lead Shear Cutters
Plato® shears have a thin profile designed for those hard-to-reach areas in electronic assembly. Assemblers love the effortless shearing action, comfort, light weight, and safety for electronics lead and wire cutting. Platoshears use the shear cutting method (see inset), which requires 50% less operator effort and extends cutting life because they shear rather than pinch. Handles are cushioned for day long comfort, and automatically spring back to their original position after each use.
Solder Pots
Plato solder pots are used to store molten solder within an exact temperature tolerance. Solder pots are often used to pre-tin leads and wires. Plato solder pots feature the proprietary porcelain crucible, which makes cleaning easier and reduces contamination.
