Problem
Customer complaining about how hard it is on assemblers hand and difficult to dispense. Also, complaining about cost
Design Requirements
UL and Flame retardant, tough and easy to dispense and apply and needs to be less costly than glass cloth tape
Solution
Sampled Permacel P-245 HDF Polyester Film/polyester non-woven electrical insulating tape – Very versatile, tear and puncture resistant, high tensile strength but conformable with outstanding adhesion, UL flame retardant - 155˚C
Result
Dispenses and applies easily, excellent dielectric strength and customer saves assembly time with approximately a 40% cost saving to the customer
