Problem/Description
People on the assembly line were using the manual desktops or the hand-crank tape dispensers, which was a tedious process and costly when the operators were pulling problems with over and under insulating the motors.  There was no consistency between over 30 different operators dispensing tape

 

Solution
Start International test the material tape ahead of time and based on the results recommended the ZCM 1000 electronic tape dispenser for the end customer and wrote a report on how it should perform with a sample  video of the ZCM 1000 dispenses and cuts predetermined length and works with a photo sensor to advance the next piece of tape.

The customer was able to reduce labor costs, improve productivity, decrease material costs, improve consistency of the tape lengths which improved the quality perception of their product and reduced operator fatigue.
